Even the author of this web site practices the writing process in the creation of this site. Thank goodness I have someone proof read it for me...LOL!
These are a small sample of web sites that can help you become a better writer:

OWL: Online Writing Lab an excellent online resource for subjects such as: grammar, punctuation, spelling and online exercises.

The Process of Writing, prewrite, first draft, revise, rewrite, edit and final draft... A good detailed explanation of the writing process.

The Five Paragraph Essay, a very good resource for writing a standard five paragraph essay.
The following are samples of what I use to teach writing skills:

Six Traits of Writing, a very concise list and explanation of the six traits with an analytical trait scoring guide.

Basic outline of an essay, used to help reinforce the basic format of an essay.

Proof Reading Marks, commonly used marks with examples- good reference for HSQGE.

Grammar Rock note taking guide. "Conjunction junction what's your function?"You have just got to love Grammar Rock! I know for a fact that the United States Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Academy uses Grammar Rock. If it's good enough for them- it's great for us!
