Time Management
"If it wasn't for the last minute, I'd have no time at all!" Time
Management is one area in Study Skills that is easy to integrate into our daily
life. As humans, we are always planning and running to get things done on time.
I have a simple process to Time Management:
1. Identify
and create a list of what you have to do.
2. Prioritize your list (due date,
importance, etc).
3. Make a plan of when your are going to "do it."
4. "Work
your your plan."

The following sites are a
very handy approach to teaching Time Management:
My daily schedule:
time management This interactive site allows students to create a pie
chart of their daily activities. This will be an eye opener for many students.
Time Management
for High School Students A good list of suggestions to take control of
your time.

These are handouts that I use to teach Time
Management:
Time

time amazement is, why you need time management, the steps of time management,
and tools used in time management. There is also an online assignment using
the Time
Management for High School Students web site.
23 Ways To Get The Most Out Of Now is a great tool to use in guided discussion
of how to maximize time.
5 of the 23 Ways... is
a product I created to help students apply the "23 Ways" to themselves.
