Learning Styles

Do you wonder how your friend can hear a song one time or two and then sing it from memory? What about your classmates that can read something one time and then remember it? Are you the type of person that learns something faster if you can touch it? These are all different types of learning styles. If you know your learning style, then you can "study smarter, not harder!"

These site will help you identify your specific learning style.

Abiator's Learning Style Inventory This is a GREAT resource to use. Not only does this site provide five different tests, but it also describes the styles (modalities). I use this site by having my students identify their specific learning style, then read and take note of strengths and strategies for their individual learning style. If you want to use my note taking guide for this assignment, download this form.

Peak Performance: Self Assessment This is a pretty straight forward online survey. There are only 15 questions and it is simple to score.

Index of Learning Style Questionnaire Another online source- 44 questions, but the vocabulary maybe a little difficult for middle and high school students.

Learning-styles-online.com This site has tons of information, but is a little more difficult to navigate.
