Tips To Parents

~The most difficult job in the world is being a parent, but it is also the most gratifying~

The following is a list of suggestion for parents borrowed from East Anchorage High School's Parents News letter.

  • Be positive about school, homework, and learning
  • Participate in your child's education
  • Take an interest in what your child is learning in school
  • Visit the school, meet your child's teachers, and attend parent/school meetings
  • Get your child involved in after school sports, clubs, city recreation,etc.
  • Spend time with your children. Spend time alone with your children
  • Plan activities that the whole family can enjoy
  • Give your student attention
  • Set limits for your children
  • Meet your children's friends. Find out who they are, what influence they have over your children, and how they and your children spend their free time.
  • Meet the parents of your child's friend, know their names, phone numbers, and where they live.
