How to do well on the TEST!

What to do BEFORE
the test:
|
- Make a realistic weekly and daily study schedule
|
- Study in a quiet place away from any type of distractions.
|
- Study you class assignments everyday - (yes, that means homework)
|
- Take clear notes in class- (if you can't read them, you can't
use them)
|
- Write sample questions that you think could be on the test
|
- Use mnemonic
terms to help you remember key information
|
- Listen for hints, clues, and suggestion from your teachers
|
|
|
- Don't put it off to the last minute!
|
What to do DURING
the test:
|
- Write your name, class period, and date on the test
|
- Read the directions thoroughly-if you don't understand, ASK
for clarification
|
- Calculate your time-(how long do you have to complete the
test?)
|
- Do the eastiest question first, regardless of which it is
|
|
|
- On multiple choice questions consider the following:
|
~ select the best response provided
|
~ eliminate the answers that you know are incorrect
|
~ look for key terms in the answer
|
~ when all else fails- guess :-0
|
- On essay questions- state it, prove it, close it
|
|
|
- Use the entire time alloted for the test DON'T rush through
it
|
- Pay attention to the details
|
What to do AFTER the
test:
|
- Don't talk to your classmates- it might cost you points
|
- That night, at home, review your notes and highlite information
that was on the test
|
|
|
- Ask questions if you don't understand something
|
- Start preparing for the next test-NOW
|
